Growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a highly motivated VP of Transportation with knowledge and experience in management, budgeting, DOT compliance, and logistics to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• In-depth knowledge of the field of transportation and logistics
• Expert knowledge in DOT compliance with hours-of-service rules, hazmat, licensing, and permitting
• Manage dispatchers in multiple states / sites.
• Efficiency expertise in balancing cost and customer service
• Able to handle a high pressure, fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all levels of the organization, including 'C' level
• Manage department budget and recommend capital expenditures to increase efficiency and services of transportation operations
• Must have experience in budgeting multi-site expenses and capital expenditures
• Oversee safety compliance and accident investigations
• Monitor driver and dispatch performance and recommend areas for improvement
• Able to track driver and delivery metrics using KPI’s to ensure optimal performance and efficiency is achieved.
• High level or organizational skill to be able to have well communicated approach to logistic execution.
• Logistics and dispatch experience
• Experience with dispatch software programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years at the VP level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
