Director of IC Recruiting Overview

As the Director of IC Recruiting, you will drive comprehensive independent contractor recruiting action across multiple divisions of UST. The Director of IC Recruiting will source, respond to, and manage contractor candidates that support customers and internal teams. In this role, you will also help qualify and onboard final mile contract labor for nationwide delivery operations as a complement to field recruiting responsibilities. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, well organized, process-oriented, and effective at building relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

(include, but are not limited to)

• Coordinates and communicates with internal teams to support the onboarding of candidates
• Creates job ads and responds to incoming leads for independent contractor candidates, drivers, and helpers
• Effectively communicates the benefits and requirements of partnering with UST via multiple channels
• Identifies opportunities and trends for increasing the effectiveness of contractor recruiting by market
• Meets locally with field teams to support ground level recruiting initiatives and startup processes
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of recruiting and onboarding processes and systems, which may include software like Asana, Zendesk, UKG, Pipeline, etc.
• Sources, qualifies, and manages a nationwide pipeline of contractor candidates for the organization
• Tracks and reports contracting metrics field managers can use to operate, improve, and scale delivery services, to include market intelligence, competitive analysis, and effective marketing and messaging

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, final-mile logistics preferred
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Demonstrated personal initiative and decision-making ability
• Proven ability to solve problems while remaining well organized
• Ability to adapt and adopt new tools, systems, and processes quickly for business efficiency and improvement
• Overnight travel up to 50% is required

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
