PlanITROI is in search of a progressive Director of Channel Sales with expertise in the IT Hardware and Services industry. Someone that can implement and integrate our vision of Closing the Digital Divide with Affordable Technology" The ideal candidate must have a proven background in profitably growing organizations from $10MM to $50MM+ in EBITDA through acquisitions within three years.

PlanITROI leverages the circular economy to do social good, by turning clients returned, retired IT devices (laptops, Chromebooks, smartphones, tablets, etc.) into recertified, affordable technology solutions sold direct and through the largest retailers in the world.

Director Channel Sales (IT Hardware & Services) Overview: PlanITROI is embarking upon the next stage in its impressive growth journey that started back in 2001 and is now recruiting for a net new role of Director of Channel Sales. As we focus on leading, building and developing all sales channels, we are in search of a successful servant leader who has spent their career selling to and through Large Enterprise, K12, and SMB directly and indirectly through computing Value Added Resellers. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team.

Mission: To build, lead and grow PlanITROI Channel Sales while impacting EBITDA to $50MM+ by 2026.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • YoY profitable growth both organically through direct and channel to $50MM+ in EBITDA.
  • Set the strategic direction and execution plan for all activities to acquire new clients for their redeployed and retired computing assets to be serviced, sold, donated or recycled.
  • Grow key channels: Large Enterprise, K12, SMB, both direct and through partners that service and sell computing hardware. (CDW, SHI, Insight, Connection)
  • Build a culture of team first with “A” Players through continuous: recruiting, hiring, training, measuring and managing your sales team to achieve $50MM+ EBITDA.
  • Build a successful PlanITROI Playbook: Sales Team Structure, Messaging and Positioning, Product Overview, Differentiators, Buyer Personas, Sales Methodology, Sales Plays, Lead Sources, Sales Process and Definitions, Sales Collateral, Case Studies, Competitor Battlecards, Pitch Deck, Objection Handling, Tools and Software, Dashboard and Metrics. Sales playbooks are a means of capturing sales best practices and communicating them to salespeople. They concisely describe what a salesperson should do in different situations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Expert at building a Sales Playbook, based on a previously successful methodology you have implemented at previous organizations.
  • Previous member of a senior leadership team (at the corporate level), for at least 5 years.
  • Established relationships within IT Hardware/Services industry are a must.
  • Strategic and critical thinker who understands how to navigate through a complex sale while decreasing the sales time for their team.
  • Knows how to build a pipeline of business through major VAR’s: CDW, SHI, Insight, Connection etc.
  • Has experience in building Sales teams from ground up to overachieve their goals YoY.
  • Experience in managing P&L and budget.
  • Expert in all modern lead generation tools, tactics and objection handling.
  • Implemented effective and highly adopted CRM systems.
  • Expert understanding of B2B marketing & communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing on digital initiatives with a focus on branding, storytelling, lead generation leading to sales.
  • This role must operate on Eastern Standard time.
