Job Summary:

Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of digital platforms at Syneos Health, these platforms will be designed with the latest shiftleft, CICD, and IaC capabilities. We are very focused on shiftleft for security, privacy, and compliance. The initial platforms will support reusable data mesh principles of self service. Providing our Data science/engineers the ability to deliver value faster and more frequently to our customers.

Experience: Minimum 8 year of Software Technical experience, 4 years of Azure IaC experience.

Primary Skillset: Software engineering team technical leadership. Agile/Shift left mindset using automation from the infrastructure level up to and including user experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead for digital platform teams; A deep understanding of Azure IaC and how to apply it in the Azure data mesh architecture.
  • Design of Infrastructure automation that is scalable and robust.
  • Provide consultation for application teams that will be leveraging the platform.
  • Promote the advantages of the platform approach to application development.
  • Ability to ensure the team members are following good practices in writing maintainable and efficient code. Familiar with code review, git version control, and unit testing.
  • Strong ability to manage conflicts or disagreements within the team constructively and professionally.
  • Mentoring and coaching of team members in their professional development.
  • Lead the team in prioritizing tasks based on project needs, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies and evaluates the impact new technologies will have on the company in achieving its business objectives.

Other Responsibilities:

Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Position requires on-call work. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience, plus significant information systems/technology experience.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Azure ARM/Bicep skills Knowledge of application server platform configuration and performance optimization.

  • Strong leadership skills while working in a team environment.

  • Negotiation and creative problem solving skills. Excellent skills in oral and written business communications in English.

  • Willingness to work Eastern Standard Time hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,960 to $255,400. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
