Job Summary: IRI, a thriving nonprofit that supports people with developmental disabilities, is seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. As a DSP, you will work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting helping them live independently while ensuring their health and safety.

We have full-time positions available throughout Queens! Mixed Shifts Available: include 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 9 am, weekends 7am to 3pm mixed with weekday 3pm-11pm shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the individuals living at our residences with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Accompany the people we support to community inclusion events and medical appointments
• Ensure the health and safety of the people we support
• Attend staff meetings and trainings on an on-going basis
• Maintain certifications and driving authorization

About You

You are the ideal candidate for this role if you are a caring, compassionate and motivated professional wanting to empower underserved communities

• You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in OPWDD setting or related field
• You have a valid NYS driver's license issued for more than a year
• You are vaccinated against COVID-19
