Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Dietary Services Administrator with a Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate (FSSMC) Issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health or a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification from a program accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conference for Food Protection (CFP), to direct and manage all operations related to Dietary Services in accordance with department policies, Mental Health Code and various accreditation and certification bodies for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as Dietary Services Administrator for the Ludeman Developmental Center.
- Serves as full-line supervisor.
- Monitors and directs the development and implementation of a comprehensive in-service training program for staff in the food service program.
- Monitors the preparation and submission of dietary reports on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4)years of college, with course work in business or public administration.
- Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
Preferred Qualifications (in priority order)
- Three (3) years of professional experience directing and managing all operations related to Dietary Services for a private or public organization.
- Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff, preparing and signing performance evaluations and approving time off.
- Two (2) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
- Two (2) years of professional experience developing and interpreting policies and procedures for a pubic or private organization.
- Two (2) years of monitoring and directing the development and implementation of a comprehensive in-service training program for staff in a food service program for a private or public organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience preparing implementation of plans of correction in response to dietary audit and survey findings for a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders in oral or written form daily ensuring detailed and critical analysis of work performed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Access.
Conditions of Employment
1. Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate (FSSMC) Issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health or a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification from a program accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conference for Food Protection (CFP).
2. Requires ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays on a rotation basis as Administrator on Duty (AOD).
3. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
4. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
5. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
Work Hours: Mon - Fri; 5:45am - 2:15pm two days per week, 8:30am - 5:00pm three days per week
