Diesel Mechanic $40/hour (direct hire) Job at Personnel People
Responsibilities:
- Working with heavy construction equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic issues and electrical problems
- Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Performs maintenance related work as required.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Repair diesel engines
- Some welding is also required
- Working in the shop and on the road as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous diesel experience required
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
- Own personal tools
- Good driving record
Hours are
Monday through Friday
Average of 50 hours per week – overtime after 40 hours
Salary is up to 40/hour with plenty of overtime. Have the ability to make up to 110K a year with overtime depending on experience
