Captivation Software has an immediate need for a DevOps/System Administrator to support our efforts. Support will focus on administration and maintenance of a tool, which tracks, administers, and archives requests for reports used by partners around the world.

Responsibilities will include: deploying applications and services; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; writing scripts to automate general system operations or DevOps activities; and troubleshooting and resolving issues and outages.

Telework is not expected for this role. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 3-4 weeks). On average, the team is paged for after-hours support approximately once per month with most issues resolvable by phone.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret / SCI U.S. Government security clearance w/ a Favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience
• Shall have at least three (3) years experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Shall have experience on the design and development of at least one Object Oriented system.
• Shall be familiar with the concepts involved in “wrapping” legacy systems or components as Web Services within a SOA framework.
• Shall have experience developing solutions integrating or extending FOSS/COTS products.
• Shall understand technical writing and have familiarity with technical documents in support of a software development project.

• Shall have at least three (3) years of experience as a Software engineer developing software developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, JavaScript.
• Shall have at least three (3) years experience developing software for Microsoft Windows (XP or newer), or UNIX/Linux/Centos family of operating systems.

• Shall have at least two (2) years experience in software integration and software testing at least one of newly developed, existing, modified, FOSS, COTS, or GOTS software, to include developing and implementing test plans or related test scripts.·

• General DevOps using Unix/Linux, to include bash, scripting, ftp, .sh, etc and system monitoring
• GIT repositories, GitPipelines, Argo; tag/release/build processes
• General development/staging/coop/production environment management and deployments
• Java environments

Desired Skills:

• MASH
• Knowledge of working with the GECC and handling outages
• Java software development
• Familiarity working in an Agile environment
• Jira and Confluence
