Development / Proposal Writer (FT) Job at Business Interface Staffing Services, LLC
Business Interface Workforce Services, LLC (BI), is a demand-side workforce development intermediary that helps businesses fill critical workforce gaps by employing the economically disabled. The organization serves as the interface between socially conscious employers in need of a productive, committed workforce and an untapped pool of labor qualified and prepared for employment.
The Proposal Writer coordinates and assembles RFP responses incorporating technical, contractual and pricing content. The position requires timely and accurate submission of RFP responses and requires extensive research/monitoring of potential opportunities across various platforms for proposal requests.
Responsibilities:
- Writes and edits across a variety of proposal formats (RFPs, RFIs, LOIs, DDQs, etc.)
- Reviews the RFP to identify any potential concerns or challenges and questions that need clarification.
- Customizes questionnaire responses to accurately communicate the company’s services.
- Works collaboratively with subject matter experts throughout the company to develop proposal materials and/or content.
- Ensure full compliance with RFP and proposal process guidelines.
- Manage win/loss debriefings to ensure outcomes are appropriately captured and communicated.
- Establishes and maintains a comprehensive response database.
- Researches and shares best practices on written documents, presentations, and other deliverables to help proposal teams increase win probability.
- Identifies areas for process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years or more of proposal writing and research.
- BA/BS Degree (Journalism, Communications, English).
- Proposal writing experience.
- Solid research experience.
- Demonstrated success in responding to RFP’s.
- Familiarity with workforce development programs organized to assist disenfranchised populations.
- Experienced with public and private sector proposal development.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills.
- Proficient editing skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time - Monday thru Friday (8am-5pm).
Salary: Negotiable.
