OUR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER POSITION
The Manager of Development is responsible for the design and implementation of a coordinated, integrated Annual Giving effort. The Development Manager is supervised by the Vice President of Resource Development and works closely with senior management and system-wide managers and directors. This position has budgetary authority and responsibility for assigned budget projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- A broad-based unrestricted annual fundraising drive utilizing direct mail, e-solicitation, social media, and potentially other forms of direct marketing solicitation.
- Lead staff person for the Guardian Campaign, an unrestricted giving effort utilizing a high-level committee of lay leaders.
- Recruiting, supporting, and training new Guardian solicitors.
- Management and support of the Guardian Campaign Committee.
- Overseeing the Guardian Campaign events, including kick-off, luncheons, President's Circle Dinner, and any events.
- Design and oversight of annual donor stewardship and acknowledgement systems.
- Recruitment, management and support for the Harold and Shirley Robinson H2YP Youth Philanthropy Program.
- Lead staff person managing data entry and analytics for annual giving programs, including significant database work and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience, ideally with exposure to designing or managing a direct mail program.
- Strong database and reporting skills, including running queries and exporting. Knowledge of Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge ideal.
- Experience working with, motivating, training, and managing working volunteer committees.
- Exceptional demonstrated written and oral communication skills in the English language.
- Excellent customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Temperament suitable to working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Exceptional recognition of ethical and legal requirements of confidentiality in handling of sensitive information and situations.
- Fluency in MS Office products: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Outlook.
