• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, behavioral sciences or related field is required. Graduate degree(s) are strongly desired.
• Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a private or independent school setting.
• Written and oral fluency in English are required, ideally bilingual (also Spanish).
• Must have experience working with children and adolescents in different settings and roles, including mentoring, coaching, teaching and supervision of students.
• Knowledge and experience working with behavioral modification theories and strategies with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
• Experience managing issues of student behavior, including conducting investigations, interventions, mediation, and ability to apply the Academy’s code of conduct.
• Proven ability to multitask, with strong organizational skills and aptitude to keep accurate records using digital tools and the Academy’s platform.
• Classroom teaching experience in any subject in a private school setting is strongly desired.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with students and families with discretion in confidential situations.
• Understanding of the planning and supervision of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including clubs, student organizations, interscholastic athletics and school life.
• Must have an engaging personality, someone who loves the role of mentor to young people and who is passionate about helping ALL students maximize their potential.

Duties:

• Will be in charge of discipline.
• Will be assigned to supervise other personnel.
• Collaborate as member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Expected to be very present in the life of the school, including attending afterschool and some events on evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month
