Job summary
We recognize how hard our employees work to serve our clients and help our business grow. We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to make sure that all of our associates receive on-time paychecks and understand their salaries thoroughly. We’ll rely on our payroll coordinator to audit and verify all time keeping records of employees’ hours worked as well as any deductions or withholding required to comply with state and federal law.
Responsibilities
- Verify timekeeping records and consult managers about any discrepancies
- File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required
- Record payroll data in our software system and verify all amounts prior to cutting checks
- Maintain employee tax status records as well as any tax related information
- Prepare Payroll checks for distribution to employees
- Record employee complaints, questions and concerns about payroll services and communicate those issues to HR manager
- Maintain compliant policies and procedures for processing payroll checks
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Minimum one year payroll department experience
- Knowledge of piece rate pay calculation
- Familiarity with payroll software a plus (AS/400)
- Strong attention to detail required
Payrate dependent on experience.
