Data Analyst - (Hybrid) - in Work From Home

Job Description

GovTact is looking for a Data Analyst to directly support the full spectrum of Product Management operations. The candidate will also help provide some project management, requirements analysis, and systems engineering support. Will work in a hybrid schedule, providing some on-site support in Hanover, MD.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the customer experience is a success from start to finish.
  • Integrate directly into the customer’s daily operations; “walk the halls” engaging the operations and analyst teams daily, so they understand you are a core enabler to their success.
  • Develop an unparalleled knowledge of the customer’s capabilities and operational needs
  • Develop a technical understanding of our technologies (Big Data Platform/BDP) architecture to align customer operational requirements to internal developmental features.
  • Become proficient in BDP capabilities and comfortable describing features and providing demos to customers to show incremental progress of developmental efforts.
  • Understand our technology / capabilities and champion them accordingly.
  • Assist Product Managers in developing and implementing operational roadmaps and action plans for identified targets of opportunity.
  • Assist Product Managers in ensuring the customer is fully aware of relevant DevSecOps touchpoints to ensure feasibility of new updates, features or capabilities.
  • Act as the focal point to pushing capabilities out to the customer.
  • Assist in expanding future opportunities by working with existing customers.
  • Work closely with company development and engineer teams to ensure delivery dates align with customer targets and timelines.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid role with some on-site work in Hanover, MD with the customer about 25-50% of the time.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance - A current Secret level U.S. government security clearance is required and therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen. Can also consider candidates with a current TS level clearance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ directly relevant experience supporting a complex technical project and or program as a business/systems analyst or requirements engineer and a Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Understanding of requirements engineering in Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong customer interaction/service skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to speak in a public forum.
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills including active listening and empathy.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills; ability to interact effectively with others.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid role with some on-site work in Hanover, MD with the customer about 25-50% of the time.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prefer current candidates that have a Secret level Security Clearance to start.
  • Experience with Software Engineering, Cloud Technologies and Cyber Security.
  • Technical background strong enough to determine system requirements and work closely with engineering and management to ensure accurate design and estimating would be an asset, but not required.
  • Previous experience with DISA BDP experience.
  • Experience in DoD Personnel Vetting (PV), DoD Critical Technology Protection (CTP), DoD cyber, agile development, and/or big data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,600.00 - $158,000.00 per year
