Alliance Shippers Inc., is one of North America’s largest privately owned global logistics and transportation services corporations. We are currently seeking a Customer Service/Dispatch Representative to join our team in Orland Park, IL.

The individual must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be very comfortable with customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

System dispatching of drivers, tracking and tracing of shipments using vendor web portals, and heavy data entry.

Specialist Additional Duties:

• Think, Communicate, Execute
• Analyze service failures
• Take pro-active steps aimed at the prevention of service failures
• Initiate activities to facilitate process improvements
• Identify and resolve performance issues

Education:

• High school degree required; BA or Associate’s degree preferred

Experience:

• Previous Intermodal experience preferred, not required.

Required Skill Sets:

• High level of attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task at all times
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• High level of urgency and a strong desire to succeed

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with AS400 is a plus
• Fluent in general business computer applications
• Self-confident and self-starting
