The Company:

Red Ball Oxygen Co., Inc. was founded in Shreveport, LA in 1930 and has been under continuous ownership of the Kennedy family since 1969. We have grown to 22 retail locations and 4 cylinder fill plants across four states serving a large and diverse customer base of Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases, welding and industrial equipment and safety supplies.

The Position:

Red Ball is looking for a Customer Service Representative for our corporate office in Shreveport, LA. This position works directly (via email, Teams, and telephone) with customers and Red Ball personnel to address questions, issues and solve problems related to customer account administration, invoicing, and payment processing. This position works with the Red Ball sales force to set up new customers by assessing credit worthiness. This position may also be assigned to departmental projects, working alongside our customer service team, Controller and CFO.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess creditworthiness of individuals & companies
• Process customer payments by recording checks, credit card, Lockbox, and ACH transactions
• Investigating and resolve account discrepancies
• Update accounts based on payment or contact information
• Provide dynamic and quality customer service
• Customer invoice submission

Skills:

• Strong communication and ability to work as a team player with all levels
• Attention to detail
• Able to meet critical deadlines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of accounts receivable and/or customer service experience preferred
• Basic understanding of cash application principles
