Description:
The Custodian performs a wide variety of custodial duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping and waxing, lighting, general cleaning, washing, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, and trash cleanup at our Rivers Edge facility. This position reports to the Buildings Foreman.
Classification: Regular Part-time - Class 1
Hours: Approximately 28 hours per week.
Primary hours will be 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays
However, hours may vary to cover emergencies, special events and holidays.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior custodial experience a plus
- Ability to follow standard safety practices and procedures common to the custodial field
- Ability to keep inventory and stock of all chemicals and supplies related to custodian duties
- Required knowledge, skills, and abilities to operate several different types of equipment and tools used in performing custodial duties
- Ability to perform physical duties with little or no assistance
- Ability to work unsupervised and be a self-motivator
- May be required to assist in other maintenance tasks as needed.
- Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or equivalent) is required within 30 days of employment. If you are not already certified, training will be provided
