Summary: Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings to include plumbing and electrical systems. Helps setup and breakdown for special events. Helps custodians when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Perform and manage routine building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair and maintenance. Reports all major repairs and damages to supervisor.

· Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, filters, wiring, and belts in machines and equipment.

· Assists in cleaning and care for buildings and facilities in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner. Main activities include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing carpet, dusting furniture and fixtures, striping and waxing floors, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning facility restrooms, etc.

· Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and the public.

· Assists other departments with moving furniture, unloading and storing records, and unloading and storing supplies.

· Assists in the setup, break down, clean up and delivery of tables and chairs for meetings and special events.

· Ability to examine the interior and exterior of buildings routinely and advise supervisor of the need for repairs and maintenance.

· Request for Proposal lead in writing technical specifications, placing ads, and evaluation of responses from vendors for both equipment replacement needs and contract services

· Perform other related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
