CPR & First Aid Instructor - per diem hours Job at Upland Hills Health
Upland Hills Health is seeking Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR & First Aid instructors. Any current UHH employee or non-employee is encouraged to apply (clinical background/training not required). All instructor course fees and training time for qualified, approved candidates will be paid by the organization. Candidates will need to be Certified as an American Heart Association Instructor or train to complete the certification.
The instructor candidate:
- Is at least 16 years of age or older
- Is motivated to teach
- Is motivated to facilitate learning
- Is motivated to ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion
- Views student assessment as a way to improve individual knowledge and skills
Steps to becoming an instructor:
- Have approval of your Supervisor (UHH employees only)
- Have (or obtain) a current provider (student) Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR AED card or higher
- Successfully complete the Instructor Course.
Ongoing commitment:
- Teach at least 4 courses in 2 years
- Complete renewal requirements to maintain a current instructor card
