The Department of Corrections (DOC) State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Coal Township is looking for a Corrections Health Care Administrator. A Corrections Health Care Administrator plans, organizes, and directs health care service programs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Health Care Administrator, you will coordinate and monitor the provision of contracted and non-contracted health care services including in-patient and out-patient treatment. You will also monitor the delivery and documentation of care to inmates to ensure continuity of quality practices in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment as well as perform the full range of supervisory functions over a team of professional, technical, and clerical staff to effectively administer health care service programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six years of professional medical experience in the care and treatment of the physically ill, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary, and a bachelor’s degree in a health related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
