JOB OVERVIEW:

The Corporate Manufacturing Quality Auditor (CMQA) will manage and approve manufacturing facilities, including co-manufactures and suppliers. CMQA will review and manage of all aspects of the Co-manufacturer and Supplier Quality Programs including current and new. CMQA will assess material risks, schedule audits, and perform audits to ensure compliance to the FDA, USDA, and CFIA regulations and ACH Food Safety and Quality Standards.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • In collaboration with the Quality Systems manager, assess the risks of each material/ingredient category and develop a tracker/schedule for auditing both the current and new suppliers and co-manufacturers.
  • Request required documents for new ingredients, suppliers, and co-manufacturers from new projects and alternate material requests via TraceGains. Once the documents are available, perform a risk assessment with the Corporate Quality Systems Manager, Research and Development, and Regulatory.
  • Perform audits (coman, material, ingredient, warehouse) per schedule, following up on any CAPAs generated from the audits.
  • Based on document reviews and audits, review with Corporate Quality Systems Manager for site approval.
  • In collaboration with the Quality Systems Manager, develop a KPI tracker for the Supplier Quality Program.
  • Update corporate document database for customers and provide updated documents to customers when needed.
  • Ensure monthly that all required co-manufacturing and supplier documentation in TraceGains are current.
  • Maintain and approved supplier list

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS and or MS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the food industry with food safety and quality systems. Knowledgeable of US and International Regulations including FDA, USDA, and CFIA.
  • Working knowledge Word, Excel, Outlook, share point and Power Point.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Infor.
  • Working knowledge of TraceGains.
  • Working knowledge of SQM
  • Passport or eligibility for passport required.
  • PCQI
  • SQF Practitioner
  • SPC trained
  • Ability to travel to local plant for audits
