POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Copier Setup Technician is responsible for preparing all new copier equipment for sale, taking care to meet or exceed all established quality assurance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform assembly and setup of equipment utilizing the proper setup checklists, prioritizing based on the setup schedule.
2. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during setup utilizing any resource available to ensure proper setup exceeding all established quality assurance standards.
3. Test all functions following guidelines set by the setup checklist.
4. Clean all surfaces of equipment to acceptable quality assurance standards.
5. Perform all necessary administrative functions in ERP system and fill out all applicable documents to support the setup process.
6. Move products in and around the distribution centers and to and from off-site storage.
7. Accurately and completely follow setup checklist/guidelines.
8. Order all parts and supplies needed to perform setup.
9. Prepare all new product for delivery.
10. Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely basis to include time entry.
11. Maintain and promptly clean all workspaces.
12. Maintain 85% accountable time including approved training.

14. Attend required company and departmental meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma and two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and electronics background/experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.
  • Strong ability to exercise independent judgment.
