The Coordinator I, Accounts Receivable is responsible for a variety of tasks including payment application, refund processing, and deposit exception research. Specific duties may include payment uploads, creating deposits, creating journal vouchers, executing refund functions, and researching and resolving incomplete deposit discrepancies and errors. In addition, the Coordinator I provides internal and external customer service, builds strong relationships across various departments to resolve issues, and provides administrative support for the Accounts Receivable department.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
  • Review and compile cash receipts from various sources; upload comments and apply offsets in PeopleSoft; research and resolve incomplete deposits and file discrepancies; refund & invoice processing; create journal vouchers.
  • Handle application of payments via Excel upload to close open receivables for multiple AR receivable types. This includes researching and resolving errors and posting adjustments.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers through written and verbal methods.
  • Distribute department mail, filing, and other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of business experience required or related degree
  • General understanding of basic accounting concepts
  • Basic level of Microsoft Excel required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
