About this job

iCrossing is looking for a temporary Content Strategist to take the lead in developing digital content strategies that are centered around audience needs, driven by data, and designed to solve business challenges while generating results for some of the world’s biggest brands.

You’ll be challenged to create new approaches to how the agency thinks about, produces, and activates content programs and experiences for our client’s websites, apps and other digital programs. Along the way, you’ll work side-by-side with other iCrossing discipline leads and cross-functional teams to help evolve how we create amazing Customer Experiences (CX) for our clients.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and lead content research efforts including content audits, competitive audits and best-in-class analyses that inform your content strategy
  • Develop cross-channel content strategies, activation plans, roadmaps, and content calendars that drive the work forward
  • Help monitor content performance, partnering with the Analytics lead to extract valuable insights for client reporting and content optimization
  • Partner with the VP, User Experience Lead to develop new and valuable content experience offerings for our clients
  • Support the development of the editorial voice for our clients, including language, tone, and how it comes to life across various platforms
  • Experiment with content formats and develop new and innovative ways to best engage our client’s audiences

Who you are

  • 5 or more years of working in a Content Strategy role with 3 or more years spent building and leading successful content teams within a medium-to-large company or agency, growing your team’s talent and careers along the way.
  • You have helped lead or roll out three or more large digital content programs for enterprise-level brands, or for small-to-midsize brands that have an advanced content program. It’s especially awesome if those programs had global audiences with a wide variety of content needs.
  • You have conducted and led eight or more content research projects including content audits, social media audits, competitive audits and more.
  • You have experience assessing, reviewing, and giving constructive feedback on various types of content such as website copy, videos, blog articles, social posts, infographics, and more.
  • You are knowledgeable about Customer Experience (CX) and the role that Content plays in all experiences and can effectively explain it to clients and stakeholders.
  • You have experience collaborating with a cross-functional team of content creators, UI designers, UX designers, developers and others.
  • You are familiar with SEO best practices and understanding digital analytics.
  • You are detail oriented, with strong multitasking and project management skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business strategy, creative writing, design, or other relevant degree.
