CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
ADVON Corporation is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our construction team in the Tallahassee, FL area. ADVON is an industry-leading provider of general contracting and design-build services for the federal government across the Southeast region of the United States. Performing heavy civil and vertical construction, our teams build unique structures and infrastructure. Primary Duties
- Provide document administration for all phases of the construction process, including RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, and Closeout Documentation, and other document coordination.
- Provide administrative support to the Project Management Team.
- Provide subcontract administration including creating, distributing, and tracking contracts, subcontractor documentation and change orders.
- Create reports for use by our management staff.
- Attend meetings, take accurate notes, produce, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assist with the solicitation of bids from subcontractors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills are required for this position.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work with Project Manager(s), Superintendent(s) and business associates.
- Skilled in the use of Procore Construction Document Control software desired.
A minimum of 2 years of construction experience and a proven track record in government construction experience is desired.
