Department Overview
The Vegetation Management (VM) and System Inspection (SI) Process and Organizational Development team initiates, monitors, coordinates and supports process improvement initiatives that have a direct impact on VMSI work efficiency objectives and support VMSI overall strategic plan. The team partners closely with leaders in Vegetation Management and System Inspection Execution, Vegetation Management Quality Control, Risk and Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Verification/Assurance to select and drive relevant projects to greater efficiency and productivity.
Position Summary
The Compliance & Risk Consultant’s core function is to support/monitor the compliance and/or risk management framework & tools that enable the organization and employees to conduct business in compliance with applicable standards, laws & regulations, and/or to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborates with the team developing controls and mitigation plans, and monitors implementation.
Performs compliance & control testing, audits, or other validation processes and analyzes risk or compliance metrics.
May provide support for responses to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries.
Maps compliance / risk requirements, controls, and mitigations to guidance documents and drafts/revises guidance documents.
Verifies reports, audits documentation, and validates content in database / risk register.
May participate in root cause analysis exercises.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Job-related experience, 2 years
Desired:
ISA-International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist Utility Specialist certification
Experience in compliance, 1 year
Experience in risk management, 1 year
Experience in utility operations, or related, 1 year
Demonstrates full understanding of regulatory policy and compliance concepts, and/or risk management.
Knowledge of assigned area of business including processes and procedures
Basic knowledge of internal control concepts and/or risk analysis & assessment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
