Under limited supervision the Clinical Data Analyst will:
- Work collaboratively with UM BWMC leaders and System hospitals providing expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results on clinical outcomes, compliance and standards of care.
- Provide advanced design, development, maintenance, documentation, and support for UM BWMC clinical quality reporting applications.
- Be responsible for understanding and applying key business concepts in the development of reports, dashboards, analytics, data mining, and other functions in order to provide historical, current and predictive views of the business.
- Ensure data integrity and security.

What You Need to Be Successful:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required in health related field with emphasis on data analysis. Master's degree preferred.
- Appropriate leavel of clinical background to understand and interpret data.
- Ability to conduct hypothesis/statistical testing.
- Proven proficiency in the use and application of clinical decision support systems, involving detailed reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage several projects at one time.
- Previous experience using a business office suite, such as Microsoft Office, is required.
- Experience in health care policy is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have strong organization skills, ability to perform multiple tasks with interruptions and manage time effectively to achieve simultaneous goals.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
