Responsibilities:

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day account management for small to mid-sized clients that are routine/moderately complex client accounts.


Account management as primary responsibility.

  • Has retention goals.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day account management for routine/moderately complex client accounts.
  • Handles an assigned book of business and expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients.
  • Leads appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs.
  • Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverage levels.
  • Nurtures relationships with the most senior buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyers.
  • May coordinate the work of administrative support and customer service.
  • May provide support to an Account Executive and/or a Broker Producer.
  • Responsible for internal processing related to trust activities.
  • Lead all aspects of the Board and Board Committee functions.
  • Coordinate conference registrations for Board members.
  • Attend and schedule calls and board meetings, as the need arises of requested, maintain meeting minutes and update appropriate staff on Board decisions.
  • Actively participate in coordinating orientation of new Board members.
  • Responsible for producing or supervising Trust communication material including handling delivery to trusts..
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for matters specific to your account.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Ability to balance multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation abilities.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience
    -or-
    High School diploma/GED with 8 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience
  • Appropriately licensed and/or certified
  • Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time, or less
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and MS Office
  • Work Traits:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and good judgment to quickly resolve and prioritize key issues
  • Meeting facilitation skills - able to expertly conduct large group meetings
