What you bring:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Any combination of education or experience that involves machinery, equipment and control systems related to a utility plant which totals a minimum of two years direct maintenance and repair experience
• After 6 months, demonstrate ability to determine when adjustments and repairs are necessary according to load requirements and or equipment problems
• Universal CFC certified after 1 yr. After 3 months, demonstrate ability to use computer control system for plant operation and building interface control system on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
• Ability to perform mathematical computations

• For this position, you must have evidence of right to work in the U.S. There is no employer sponsorship of U.S. residency or work authorization with this role
• Ability to maintain a valid state issued valid drivers license
• Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to use personal computer, calculator, and work with standard software applications
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
• Ability to work safely in or with high noise levels, extreme heat, dust, high places, exhaust from purge pumps, chemicals and their fumes (sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine, bromine), inhibitors (arsenic and chromate), fiberglass insulation, asbestos, welding hazards, cutting tools (power saws, grinders, drills, etc.), high pressure steam, hot condensate, high pressure distribution loop, and high speed rotating equipment
