Milestones Family Recovery is looking for a Child Care Assistant to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facilities. You will implement schedules, activities and supervise children ages 3 months - 6 years old while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. Drug test and background check required

Responsibilities

• Implement regular daily schedules filled with activities
• Provide basic care and caregiving activities such as diaper changings, childcare feeding etc.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
• Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track. While remaining in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children when needed
• Redirect child behavior when the situation calls for it.
• Daily and weekly sanitizations of Daycare room and Facility.
• Adhere with childcare standards and safety regulations as established by the Company and Daycare licensing

Skills

• Knowledge or willingness to learn redirection of child behavior
• Creative
• Patience, flexibility and love for children
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Certificate in First aid, CPR and Food handlers within 4 weeks of hire date
• Self motived with ability to lead as an individual and in a team setting
• Ability to adhere to child and parent confidentiality

Additional information

• $16.50 hourly
• 20-28 hours a week

Schedule

Our daycare is open from 8am-2pm Mon-Tues & Thur-Sat, and 11am-3pm on Wednesdays. Preference will be given to candidates available Tuesday-Thursday & Saturday.
