Overview:
Our client, a service provider in Morris Plains, NJ, is seeking a CFO to join thier team.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare weekly check run list and submit for approval of CEO
- Assist with month end close process – allocate Corporate Amex Charges, Prepare Payroll Accrual, review of all unit financials before preparing the invoices
- Prepare all Accounts Receivable Monthly Invoices and submit to clients for both subsidies and pantry services; various clients have different methods / systems used to submit invoices
- Accounts Receivable collections throughout the month
- Consolidate monthly financial results for CEO and COO after billing is complete
- Approves all orders on the Amazon Business Account and through several online vendors
- Oversee all human resources and payroll responsibilities utilizing ADP TotalSource partnership (Work Force Now): onboarding new employees into ADP, handbook, bi-weekly payroll processing, paid time off accruals and approvals, annual benefit plan selections, compliance related, tracking vaccination status
- Liaison with IT Consultant – new user set up, emails, data security
- Work with insurance broker on annual insurance renewals and annual premium audit
- Coordinates all requests for COIs between our broker and ADP (Workers Compensation)
- Forecasts by location, Corporate, and Consolidated
- Client relations: prepare various reports at the client’s request, scenarios for different operating models, calls & meetings to review financials
- Prepare Cash Flow Forecasts: Daily and monthly
- Assist with contract edits for new clients
- Prepare various financial reports for existing clients and potential new business
- Banking Relationships – currently working with TD Bank on implementing positive pay
- Handle all accounting and payroll related functions for Root Nine Baking Co – including financials / AP / AR in QuickBooks, processing payroll in ADP Run, insurance renewal
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred.
- Currently licensed CPA or Certification as CMA/CGMA.
- A minimum of 10 years in Senior Management and Accounting with at least three years’ experience as a CFO, and five years as a Controller.
- Experience within the industrial supply industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and US Tax Laws.
- Experience with Federal, State, and Local taxes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and a quick learner with new software.
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
