Primary Responsibilities:

  • Possess an architectural mindset with a proven ability to review architecture to derive Chaos Strategy and expose vulnerabilities.
  • Performing chaos testing to build confidence in the system's capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production
  • Support the creation of integrated Performance & Chaos Engineering strategy, process, tools, and execution
  • Define and manage the load Chaos Testing Roadmap for applications and infrastructure
  • Experience working with standalone applications and across E2E Customer Transactions (multi-app), Provider, or Payer experience is preferred.
  • Possess an automation mentality to drive scalable Chaos approaches
  • Redefine Test Management Frameworks and ensure that the infrastructure is Scalable to evolving Products and Services
  • Develop baselines and dashboards for application and platform teams for performance and chaos testing
  • Assist in Application Go/No Go decisions by providing Quality Metrics by covering different types of test scenarios – Site Reliability Monitoring
  • Design, implement, and execute chaos experiments from conception to production deployment
  • Analyze complex problems in the application space relating to resilience
  • Perform chaos testing on a distributed system to build confidence in the system's capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production
  • Develop automated chaos testing in pre-production and production systems

Skills Required

  • Hands Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
  • Coding experience with one or more of the following languages Java, C#, C/C++, Go, REST API, Groovy Shell Script, Python, or JavaScript with a willingness and ability to learn new ones
  • Proven Hands-on experience working with modern container services (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Proven Hands-on experience working with Serverless Architecture, Web Services, and Databases
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD Engineering and Quality Engineering
  • Proven use of Chaos engineering tools (e.g. Gremlin, Harness.io, Chaos Monkey)
  • Strong understanding of Performance testing tools
  • Strong understanding of Observability tooling (e.g. New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Kibana)
  • Strong understanding of API testing tools (SoapUI, Postman, Soatest)
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology
  • Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally distributed audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Chaos Engineering with E2E Game Day execution
  • Experience in defining Performance Engineering or Testing strategies for large healthcare clients
  • Experience in Defining /monitoring Site reliability metrics and establishing automation test strategies
  • Solid understanding of formal architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
