Certified medical assistant for three physician pediatric cardiology outpatient office with following responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient flow with physician(s) and medical secretary
• Escort patients into exam rooms and prepare patients, as necessary, for exam, and assist physicians with patient treatment and procedures
• Take vital signs: height, weight, blood pressure, saturation and other measurements as needed
• Provide EKG services as needed
• Retrieve lab results from internal labs, as well as outside labs
• Maintain clean and orderly patient exam rooms after each patient visit
• Maintain clean and orderly medical assistant stations and workrooms
• Responsible for prescription follow up with physician
• Maintain supplies in physician exam rooms, as well as lab supplies
• Responsible for cross-covering with front desk personnel:
• Scheduling appointments for office visits and procedures;
• Performing pre-registration intake for new patients;
• Obtaining referrals and verification of coverage
• Epic EMR order entries as required - training provided
• Conform to all applicable HIPAA, billing compliance and safety guidelines.
