Here at FirstLight Home Care we provide a home like atmosphere to complete orientation and training. We conduct quarterly meetings to provide our caregivers with education and up to date information! We take pride in our mentor program and check in not only with our clients but also our caregivers along service.

Companion Care Assistant responsibilities include:

• Light Housekeeping
• Meal Preparation
• Laundry Service
• Medication reminders
• Conversation and company
• Shopping errands & transportation

Personal Care Assistant responsibilities include:

• Bathing assistance and hygiene
• Walking and mobility assistance
• Transfer and posture positioning
• Continence and toileting care
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous caregiving experience (preferred but not required)
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness and respect
• Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively manage the demands of the job

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 18 years old or more
- We welcome candidates from all backgrounds
- Access to a smartphone or PC – we use an app for client updates, clocking in/out, messaging capabilities, view online schedule.
- Ability to carry out directions, takes initiative, verbally communicate with clients and staff.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
- Proof of state issued driver's license/state ID and valid auto insurance
- Physical requirements (able to lift 25 lbs)
- Pass onsite drug screen
- Clear background check a must

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
