Program Manager. This is a full-time (1.00
FTE
), 12 month, professional faculty position.
The position reports to the Director of CAFE. The position is to be Corvallis-based to support the development, management, and implementation of campus-wide financial literacy initiatives programming (such as OSU’s Financial Readiness and Success initiative) focused on incoming students. This support includes the development of financially-focused support during START sessions and around new student orientation. To this end, the position will work with central units, such as the Office of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management. This position will also lead financial literacy efforts to external audiences as directed by the Director of CAFE. This position will supervise 10-15 student workers (peer mentors).

Position Duties
75% Program Management & Delivery
- Supports the development, management, and implementation of programming aimed towards incoming students in creating resources and materials to support the campus-wide financial literacy initiatives.
- Coordinates delivery of financial literacy programming to incoming students around START and orientation.
- Supports the delivery of financial literacy programming to external audiences.
- Collaborates with the director of café in planning programs that contribute to the program’s mission.
- Coordinates with the College of Business Marketing and Communications to create collateral for financial literacy initiatives.
25% Supervision
- Supervises CAFE student employees (peer mentors) including hiring/firing, planning, assigning, and approving work, training student employees to assist with financial literacy programming, evaluating performance, and administering discipline as needed.
- Master’s degree in Business, Public Health, Education, College Student Services and Administration, or a closely related field.
- Administrative experience in an educational setting.
- Experience with program management and supervision of employees and/or student workers.
- A firm understanding of college financial literacy practices and issues affecting one’s financial wellness including topics such as financial aid, scholarships, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- High computer proficiency; strong MS office experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and working knowledge of Outlook and Windows/Mac.
- Ability and willingness to learn new programs and applications quickly
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritize appropriately, pay careful attention to details, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with ambiguity.
- Ability to maintain professional decorum, as well as know or can demonstrate ability to learn and work within OSU system.
- A demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Basic knowledge of other financial literacy related topics, such as: credit, taxes, salary negotiation, understanding benefits packages, ID Theft, savings, investing, risk management, etc.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a flexible work schedule.
- Some evening and weekend work is required.
