Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
Schedule and monitor raw materials, packaging and finished goods. Responsible for procurement of inventory components to meet production needs. Assist multiple business unit and locations to ensure smooth transition from sale to product delivery.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain product, packaging and material inventory/availability using demand forecasts, historical orders and software tools to support the operations plans and customer demand of the plant for all business units.
  • Generate and monitor open purchase orders and follow up on any past due or delayed receipts with the supplier or receiving.
  • Assist transportation logistics in the delivery of raw materials to meet plant production schedules.
  • Responsible for assuring that the requirements for the purchased items are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner and that stocking levels are maintained within established guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly/weekly production, inventory deployment, and maintain a production schedule to ensure proper flow of material across multiple Sika locations.
  • Expedite, reschedule or cancel component deliveries as dictated by changes in demand with the goal of continually aligning supply with demand thereby minimizing inventory exposure and realizing revenue opportunity.
  • Plan production of finished goods via MRP/SAP. Managing and scheduling of raw materials in support of production plans
  • Manage inventory of the responsible MRP controller at different locations
  • Capacity planning by balancing production resources, machine capacity, inventory and manpower.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for CS regarding product availability
  • Work with AP to resolve any vendor invoice issues.
  • May occasionally cover duties of others within the department in special circumstances (holidays, vacation schedules, special projects)
  • Key user of SAP network system, passionate about developing and improving the planning process of material flow in this environment.
  • Performs other duties as directed by Manager

We Need Your Skills : Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • 5+ years planning inventory management experience in manufacturing environment.
  • APICS certification a plus.
  • B.S. degree in business management or industrial engineering/management.
  • Proficiency in SAP or Similar System.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Must be hands on and able to work with all levels of the organization in a team environment.
  • Thorough understanding of materials management theory including MRP & DRP system. Ideal candidate will have exposure to JIT/ Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Must understand the concepts of Value Chain/ Supply Chain and the relationship each component has on the others.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures particular in the fields of materials management and export.

Pay: $43,084.63 - $85,545.17 per year
