Italian Rose Garlic Products, a Lakeview Farms company is the category leading producer of fresh salsa, dips and chilled desserts in North America. We offer branded, private label, contract manufactured and food service salsa products in addition to a variety of dips, spreads and sauces.

We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Buyer focusing procurment of materials, components, ingredients, packaging and supplies at favorable costs consistent with usage, projections and market prices. The opportunity will be located at our offices in Delphos, OH.

The goal of the buyer is to coordinate in-coming freight with logistics department within Italian Rose Garlic Products, Inc. The buyer will report to the Vice President of Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Please note: This position will report to an office in Delphos, OH and will work in the office.

· Must be able to accurately assess the Company’s needs for materials, components, ingredients, packaging and supplies.

· Coordinate purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.

· Review opportunities for new supply sources and suitability of materials offered.

· Evaluate vendor quotes and services to see if they are compatible with company objectives.

· Oversee purchasing logs and records to ensure accuracy and follow through.

· Negotiate with vendors to obtain quotes, prices and delivery times.

· Monitor quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery and conformance of specifications.

· Coordinate in-coming freight with logistics department.

Qualifications and Experience

· Excellent knowledge of production processes and needs and ability to accurately gauge the needs of the Company.

· Excellent knowledge of commodity prices and trends is required.

· Excellent negotiation skills are required.

· Professionalism a must.

• Experience or proficient in production or manufacutring material.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, influence decisions and recommend a course of action based on production.
• Ability to multitask, define long and short-term objectives and establish priorities to consistently meet timelines
• Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of our company and with all customers
• Self-motivated, innovative thinker willing to work in an evolving role that presents opportunities for teamwork and collaboration
