The Helper Bees (THB) was created to fill an obvious need in an underserved community. Inspired by love and brought to reality through passion and determination, The Helper Bees was founded to empower older adults and their families in their search for quality, affordable aging in place services. We do this by working with Long Term Care and Medicare Advantage insurance companies to provide older adults the ability to easily review, choose, and access affordable quality in-home services.

The Helper Bees mission is to help people stay home longer through data-driven services that transform both the payer and the care-recipient experience.

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will report to the Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for the technical and strategic direction of data within The Helper Bees. The goals you establish must be achievable and must improve our ability to produce quality data reports and analyses in a timely manner. People management is not part of this role, but you will be expected to be a champion and cheerleader for the strategic direction you set and will be expected to spend time reviewing, teaching, and mentoring other constituents so the vision set can be fulfilled.

You will roll up your sleeves to be an active participant in executing the data strategy. You will work very closely with Data Managers and their teams to ensure the data strategy if fulfilled.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to better understand valuable objectives and KPIs and to design relevant reports and dashboards.
  • Creates reports, visualizations, dashboards, and metrics that provide business insight and aid business decision-making.

What you'll need:

  • Experience crafting, communicating, and promoting strategic directions
  • Excellent at change management and influencing constituents
  • Excellent at data analysis and presentation
  • Data engineering experience including building and improving data warehouses
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Experience with ETL/ELT solutions
  • BigQuery
  • PostgreSQL
  • Tableau
  • Airflow
  • dbt
  • PowerBI (preferred)
  • 5-8 years in a data role
  • 2+ years in a senior data role
  • 2+ years as a data engineer strongly preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
