SunPlus Data Group is looking for and IT Business / Data Analyst to work for a State Government facility in Columbia, SC

• This is for 12 months to start and is likely to extend
• Hours are generally M-F, 40 hrs/week
• Pay is $64/hr W2 hourly (NO C2C)

**This is 100% ON-SITE (no telework)**

It usually takes the State Government about 1-3 weeks to start interviews, just so that you are aware of the timeframe. The first interview will usually be via phone or WebEx.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

The State of South Carolina has an immediate need for a Business Analyst to assist the Health & Demographics Division with acquiring and analyzing information on preschool aged children as required by the Preschool Development Grant (PDG) and the State Longitudinal Data System Grant (SLDS). The objectives are:

1. Review and analyze existing data and data collection systems containing information around early childhood.

2. Identify gaps in both data and systems based on needs of early childhood stakeholders.

3. Identify options of system interoperability in the area of early childhood.

4. Present options for potential data sharing and utilization for incorporation in the Preschool Development Grant Strategic Plan along with the data governance around the State Longitudinal Data System Grant.

5. Work closely with those entities already in agreement to share data that is/will be housed at the Data Warehouse on data integrity and structure.

6. Continue relationships with other entities wishing to join the Data Governance Work Group.

7. Assist RFA data team in the continued building of the Early Childhood Integrated Data Dashboard.

8. Serve on the Data Governance Board in support of the Data Governance Coordinator.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interviewing the Early Childhood stakeholders to establish needs, document existing data and data collection software applications.

• Coordinate activity with project team, State Longitudinal Data System Grant Project team as well as PDG Needs Assessment and Strategic Planning Teams.

• Work with the Data Governance Coordinator, the Project Manager and PDG teams in completing a system/data needs assessment for contributing member programs.

• Report project progress weekly to Director, Project and Application Management teams.

• Meet weekly and monthly with the Data Governance Committees in an effort to build the Early Childhood Data Dashboard.

• Meet with the SC Department of Education Project Team around the State Longitudinal Data System grant data collection.

• Attend state collaboration coalitions to discuss progress on the Early Childhood Data Dashboard and the State Longitudinal Data System.

• Work closely with early childhood education providers on data integration within the SC Department of Education SAS data dashboard.

• Report on a monthly and quarterly basis to the Grant Management of both the PDG and the SLDS.

• Work closely with the Data Statisticians in analyzing data submissions from early childhood providers for data integrity and format.

• Provide training and training assistance for early childhood education providers in the state on eScholar software product for Student Unique Identification System.
