Quick Summary

The HRIS Security and Reporting Administrator is a global position that will be responsible for enhancing KEI’s HRIS (Workday) security and reporting. The person in this role will be identifying and implementing related process and system improvements. To be successful, the candidate must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, time/project management skills, a positive attitude, able to translate technical terms into business terms, and train users as needed. The Security and Reporting Administrator is an existing role within our HRIS (Workday) team at Kimball Electronics, Inc. (KEI) Shared Services and reports to our Director, Human Resources Information Systems. This position offers the possibility of remote.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Short Term: (0 to 3 months)
  • Learn KEI Culture, people, and processes
  • Understand business, legal and regulatory requirements of all KEI’s facilities
  • Build relationships with each facility HR user community
  • Learn KEI Workday system landscape including HCM, security, integrations, reports and support processes with support of training resources
  • Maintain system documentation in support of various business requirements and changes
  • HRIS Support (Workday)
  • Understand existing integrations from Workday to SAP, TRESS, Benefits Carriers, etc.
  • Understand anticipated integration requirements from Workday to international global payroll systems
  • Develop Workday reports to support integration needs
  • Midterm: (3 to 6 months)
  • Remotely mentor HR team members with Workday support issues at all business locations
  • Provide support of Workday security processing and administration
  • Support reporting and integrations development
  • Assist with preparation, testing and configuration for enhancements related to upgrades
  • Develop reports to meet location and worldwide business requirements
  • Assist with EIB’s (for acquisitions, annual changes, etc.)
  • Learn Workday business process support as back-up role
  • Long term: (6 to 12 months and beyond)
  • Prepare/Update/Finalize reference materials by location, as needed for administrators and users
  • Complete cross training for all KEI Workday functional areas
  • Identify, research and lead improvement processes regarding HRIS as needed to support global business requirements
  • Assume responsibility for EIB’s (acquisitions, annual changes, etc.)
  • Lead preparation, testing and configuration for enhancements related to upgrades for security and reporting

Basic Background Requirements

This position will require:

  • HR Business Process knowledge / experience
  • A willingness to work flexible hours to support global business needs
  • Fluent in English language
  • A willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Systems oriented
  • HRIS security and reporting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other closely related field

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
