Job Description

The PT Building Supervisor will enjoy an increased pay range, free membership and a great team of fun coworkers!
We seek an individual who thrives working with members of the center and enjoys the responsibility in a fast-paced environment. Individuals assigned to this position will assist members during their visit to the center, and perform cleaning, maintenance and facility supervision duties. The building supervisor is under the direction of the manager and assistant manager.
Flexible schedule working 15-20 hours per week, evenings and weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and general condition of the Williston fitness center to provide for its safe and efficient operations.
    • Responsible for opening and closing the center.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean and pleasant environment.
    • Responsible for general maintenance activities within the center.
    • Assist front desk, child care, maintenance, and management staff during busy and/or crisis situations.
    • Communicate problems and concerns relating to building maintenance to the maintenance technician.
    • Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal from walkways that surround the building.
  • Responsible for assisting members and other individuals with their use of the facility.
  • Provides information and assistance to members, guest and staff regarding the center's policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all center activities including, but not limited to swimming, tennis, general fitness and batting cages.
  • Completes required forms relating to injuries, complaints, requests, etc. occurring during shift.
Other Job Functions:
  • Communicates problems/concerns/complaints from members to the manager and assistant manager on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties, and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
  • To create relationships with members that we do know and do not yet know, that will add value to their membership, enhance their sense of belonging and sense of community within the facility.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service background. Ability to handle customer concerns and assist with customer needs.
  • CPR/AED and first aid certification
Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous health club or related facility experience

Additional Information

Knowledge of:


  • Effective cleaning practices and cleaning equipment, preferably for heavy use buildings.
Skilled in:
  • Dealing with customers effectively.
Ability to: Commit to and support the Minnetonka's shared values of authentic communication, adaptable learning & innovation, teamwork, contagious enthusiasm, healthy human relationships & shared success!
  • Instruct others in the use of a variety of health fitness and athletic equipment.
  • Learn center policies, programs and practices.
  • Work independently and with others.
  • Obtain first aid certification within six months of employment.
Personal Appearance/Dress Code:
All employees must wear a uniform at all times. Acceptable attire includes shorts or pants, worn along with a Williston shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket.
