About This Role:
The Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University is hiring a Budget/Fiscal Coordinator to provide service to Faculty research investigators to plan and forecast expenditures, process award modifications, manage sponsored project accounting, distribute sponsored research overhead earnings, coordinate recruitment and hire international scholar and student intern exchange visitors, and assist with overall departmental business operations.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one to three years relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in Accounting, Business Administration or related field with emphasis in accounting.
Five years professional accounting experience.
Three years sponsored projects accounting experience.
Knowledge of, and two years of experience with, KSU financial information systems, and KSU policies and procedures.
Two years experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
Highly developed skills with accounting systems, and Microsoft computing software (Excel, Access, Word).
Ability to organize and clearly express information in concise written and verbal form, and to evaluate sound financial practices and compliance with state laws and regulations.
Ability to learn quickly, determine priorities, take initiative, work independently, develop software expertise, and implement continuous process improvement.
Ability to interact with peers and other contacts to encourage mutual cooperation, respect, and effective working relationships.
Other Requirements:
