Salem Media Group in Miami, FL, is looking for a Board Operator for our local broadcast center and cluster of stations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Execute format as designed by management, maintain logs, and edit live spots, various production duties, and commercial audio production.
• Responsible for running broadcast board for several live and taped programs
• Digital editing, recording and maintaining network feeds
• Airing all programs, commercials, and promos as scheduled
• Completing and amending all traffic, program, and transmitter logs
• Airing emergency alert system tests as indicated
• Regulate timing of programs
• Assist with administering contests and giveaways, answer listener phone calls, screen listener calls for live shows, etc.
• Will assist with production of live radio shows, remote connections and transmissions including interviews and guests
• Candidate will also assist with production of station imaging and remote live transmissions and automation
• Off-air support of commercial production
• On-air and voice over support of programs as well as production
• Protect the company’s FCC license
• Troubleshoot technical problems
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in running audio console at a commercial or non-commercial radio station, editing highlights and interviews.
• Windows based computer skills and minimum 6 months radio broadcast experience required, Wide Orbit for Radio (or similar) digital audio/editing system experience preferred. Previous experience as on-air producer and digital broadcasts preferred.
• Flexibility is a must! Must be a team player, computer savvy and have the flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays.
• The right candidate must be able to work well with others.

• Strong track record, detailed oriented, prompt and dependability required.
• Must be able to perform with little supervision.
• High school diploma required.
