The Shop Foreman will contribute to the success of Weatherford BMW by ensuring that all vehicles are repaired in a safe, efficient, and timely fashion while maintaining the highest ethical standards and business practices. This individual will be responsible for proactively leading the team of technicians in the service department, managing performance, and providing training where necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and direct technicians while managing service department operations
  • Assign work to technicians
  • Help manage technician payroll
  • Acting as a liaison, when necessary, which may include test driving with guest when necessary
  • Manage team with all aspects which include diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicles
  • Seeks management’s direction when the course of action is unclear or there are customer concerns
  • Successfully manage the repair process from start to finish in an organized manner
  • Ability to conduct more complex diagnostics and repair work
  • Attention to detail and quality control is essential
  • Utilizes manufacturer recommended diagnosis and repair processes
  • Quality control assistance on various repairs when needed
  • Communication that is clear to customers which details the cause and the steps taken to correct the customers’ concern if needed
  • Maintains knowledge of and compliance with all local, federal, state, manufacturer and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Monitors warranty repairs as it relates to manufacturer standards
  • Develops and attains performance and productivity goals
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index rating at least comparable to that of the manufacturer, zone, or branch average. Maintain a dealership-prescribed standard for “hours per customer repair order written”
  • Ensure that all shop documents are accounted for
  • Prepare a list of equipment, supplies, and repairs required, and review with the Service Manager as needed
  • Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Accomplish the forecast that has been established by the general manager and service manager
  • Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination highly recommended
  • Level one training along with HV certified training required
  • Must possess strong leadership skills
  • Some supervisory experience is highly preferred
  • All certifications must be valid and current
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Punctual and regular attendance
  • Professional personal appearance

COMPENSATION:

The Shop Foreman Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of between $5,500.00 and $5,500.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

  • Monthly Pay Range: $5,500 - $12,000, this position pays salary plus monthly bonus. Lots of income potential, strong and loyal customer base!
