What you do:

The Corporate Billing Specialist is responsible for processing, handling and overseeing the accounts receivable functions for the Mission Point facilities. The Corporate Billing Specialist handles the billing for all third-party insurance payors, billing questions related to insurance, and monthly billing statements, and works closely with the facility Business Office Managers, assisting with billing questions or issues.

• Work with the designated facilities as it relates to billing questions.
• Create private statements in advance of services being performed and as requested by business office managers.
• Complete the month end close for each designated facility.
• Complete daily census in conjunction with the designated facilities.
• Bill Medicaid/Medicare claims for all facilities. Timely follow up and bill claims that are rejected or improperly paid.
• Work with the rest of the AR team to ensure other claims are billed and collected for assigned homes.
• Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in accounts receivable aging reviews including identifying root cause of any billing or collection issues.
• Assist the designated facilities in collecting outstanding accounts receivable.

What you need:

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in medical billing is preferred.
• Must possess at least two years computer accounting system related experience and be detail orientated.
