Bartender/Server - Giordano's of Kennett Square

We’re looking for Bartenders/Servers to join our team at Giordano's in Kennett Square, PA.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Jamestown Hospitality Group: Building lasting relationships by providing a superior customer service experience.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if necessary.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Balance cash receipts.
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after having received them into the register system.
• Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

What You Bring

• Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training
• Previous server experience
• Understanding of safety and health best practices/policies
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching with arms

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
