THE COMPANY
This global reinsurance enterprise is seeking to maintain a business focus that emphasizes profitable growth and support for its business and employees. With a universal presence across 5 continents, this insurance company is looking to advance its data and analytics practice with a high-skilled Data Engineer to join their team.
THE ROLE
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure technologies
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to modernize systems from SSIS to Azure Data Factory
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A successful Azure Engineer within this role will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services and Azure Data Factory
- 4+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
- Deep understanding of both on-prem and cloud stacks, such as SSIS to ADF and Databricks
- Proficient in programming languages - i.e. SQL and/or Python
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data at the enterprise scale
- Developing enterprise data systems and working closely with the business
