Batavia Avenue Mobil in Batavia, IL is looking for one auto technician to join our 12 person strong team. We are a local family owned and operated business serving the Fox valley area for over 40 years. We are located on 27 N Batavia Ave. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and engaged.

Responsibilities

*Examine cars based on customer statements and determine appropriate repairs needed *Diagnose failures, noises, and other car related problems *Present and explain estimates to complete repairs *Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid service and rotating or balancing tires *Perform factory schedule maintenance *Replace or repair worn parts as needed

Qualifications

*Previous experience as an auto mechanic or strong Auto Repair training *Ability to pass ASE Certification or current ASE Certifications *Excellent verbal communication skills and salesmanship skills *Knowledge of tools and equipment being used to repair vehicles *Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills *Minimal basic tools and technology for an Automotive Technician *Located within the Chicago, IL, USA area and within an hour drive to Batavia, IL

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $35.00 - $60.00/hour.
