National Auto-Insurance Carrier is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated PIP Attorney with 1 + years of experience with Florida PIP litigation (plaintiff's OR defense) to join its TAMPA office. (THIS POSITION CAN BE MOSTLY REMOTE 4 DAYS PER WEEK BUT YOU WILL NEED TO GO INTO THE TAMPA OFFICE 1 DAY PER WEEK TO MEET WITH THE TEAM - THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE).
Must have at least 1 year experience with PIP Law in Florida.
IDEAL CANDIDATE will have 2 or more years experience handling high-volume PIP lawsuits in Florida (representing medical providers OR insurance carriers), from pre-suit stage through litigation to settlement. This role is new IN HOUSE role so it presents a management opportunity for experienced candidates!
JOB DUTIES include working up smaller and high-volume caseload from initial pleadings, written discovery, EUOs/PIP Statements, depositions, mediation, and trial. Should have strong research and writing skills. Must be familiar with medical records, bills and medical terminology. Attending court hearings, drafting/arguing substantive motions, writing detailed legal memos, status reports to carriers, settlement negotiations, and managing all files assigned to you. Should be highly detail-oriented, independent, organized and able to multi-task.
