Athletics Instructor Job at BELVIDERE PARK DISTRICT
The Athletic Instructor is responsible for the hands on operations of the athletic classes, leagues and special events assigned. This position works on-site during specific programs and leagues and will vary depending on the season, month, day or time. The Athletic Instructor reports to the Recreation Supervisor.
Classification: Regular Part-time Class 1
This is a year round position.
Hours: Approximately 10 - 15 hours per week. Availability needed is evenings beginning at 5 p.m. and weekends beginning at 8:30 a.m. Shifts can fluctuate depending on a particular class or league and may include nights, weekends and midweek hours.
Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
Must have knowledge and ability to teach multiple sports.
Ability to work with children of all ages, abilities and experience levels.
Possess decision-making, conflict resolution and organization skills.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
Possess the knowledge and skills of implementing, organizing, and training athletics.
Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or equivalent) is required within 30 days of employment. If you are not already certified, training will be provided.
