As a member of the Notre Dame Athletics Compliance Team, you will have the unique opportunity to impact the lives of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff on a daily basis and be part of an excellence-driven environment. You will assist the Department's effort to maximize the resources provided to student-athletes in the areas of financial aid and benefits, partnering closely with the Athletics Business Office, the Office of Financial Aid, and others to ensure the accuracy of student-athlete aid and awards. In addition to providing support to all student-athletes, you will serve as a resource for several teams and bylaws in compliance matters, interpreting NCAA rules, educating coaches and staff, monitoring adherence to rules and policy, reporting violations, and strategizing future NCAA initiatives.

Oversee NCAA Bylaw 15 financial aid/grant-in-aid and National Letter of Intent execution and monitoring for all sports programs, including funding for summer session opportunities, with the assistance of the Athletics Business Office and the Office of Financial Aid. Serve as the primary point of contact for most NCAA Bylaw 16 student-athlete benefit matters, including creating policy related to the administration of the NCAA Student Assistance Fund. Bylaw 16 oversight includes educating constituents and monitoring student-athlete expenses related to support services. Serve as primary compliance contact for several sports programs, including handling interpretive matters for coaches, student-athletes, and staff. Assist in the composition and submission of NCAA violations, waivers, and reporting as assigned. Create and maintain policies related to student-athlete benefits and special projects, such as the disbursement of Academic Achievement Awards, understanding and monitoring effects on general financial aid and eligibility. Oversee financial distributions with the assistance of the Athletics Business Office, the Office of Financial Aid, and Student Accounts. Participate in applicable institutional, conference, and NCAA meetings, webinars, and professional development opportunities as appropriate. Serve as the liaison to several units internal and external to Athletics.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree (4 years)
  • 3-4 years experience in NCAA DI Compliance
  • Must have a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Excellent and timely verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of constituents
  • Creative and strategic thinking



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in NCAA DI Financial Aid and Benefits
  • Familiarity with University and NCAA compliance software (e.g., Banner, ARMs, CAi, LSDBi)
